bird free gel

Birds of a feather...

Those of you who follow us on social media will know that over the last few weeks we have had quite a few encounters with birds.

In the first case, I was called to a disused garage by a couple of concerned neighbours - they were complaining about a damp problem on a connecting internal wall. When I entered the property I was met by around 30 pigeons. They had been using a broken window to gain entry to the building and had found it the ideal place to breed and, of course, this results in plenty of unhygienic mess.

Cleankill at the 2015 Facilities Show

Cleankill will again be at the annual Facilities Show held at ExCel in London. This year the event, held from 16th to 18th June 2015, promises to be bigger and better than ever before with inspirational presentations by, among others, Baronness Karen Brady CBE, Sir Chris Hoy MBE, and Sir Ranulph Fiennes OBE.

The Cleankill team will be meeting up with some of its current facility manager clients and hoping to make some new contacts. Cleankill can be found on stand R980.

Bird-Free gel - a new way to rid your premises of pest birds

Following extensive trials, Cleankill Pest Control is now using a special non-toxic gel as part of its armoury against pest birds.

The Bird Free gel reflects ultraviolet light and appears to birds as flames and keeps pest birds off structures without harming them. Rather than acting as a barrier like netting or spikes, the gel alters birds’ behaviour. Birds will completely desert a habitat, even one they have been using for years, once Bird Free has been applied.
